Volume 02.
Tidal Rock Pool Bathing

As part of an ongoing visual series, SUBMERGE explores the ritual of outdoor bathing - embracing restorative bodies of water where we envelop ourselves in nature, slow down, and connect inward.

In our latest instalment of SUBMERGE, we plunge into the ritual of swimming in tranquil tidal rock pools. Documented by Lisa Sorgini on Bundjalung land in New South Wales, BAINA captures the feeling of renewal after submerging oneself in cool salty waters.

Nothing comes closer than water on skin; an exchange between the two, an intimate merging, a surrendering of each half. Total emersion and a complete engulf.

Tidal rock pool bathing — Float in the moment; as if in reverie.
