Kaitlyn Reinhart

Canadian-born and Paris-based, Kaitlyn Reinhart is a cook, food stylist and recipe developer devoted to seasonal ingredients, visually expressive dishes and simple joy of eating well.
Photographed on the shores of Brittany, Kaitlyn reflects on welcoming her son into the safe, purifying space of bathing — a place where calm gathers and contemplation flows. She shares how drawing a warm bath grounds them both, even amid splashes and movement, and how the gentle discovery of new sensations deepens their one-on-one connection.

"I am a bath person. I would live in there if I could! Bathing has always been a safe place for me, purifying, where contemplation comes naturally to me. I come out feeling reset & relaxed."

"Funnily enough, bathing hasn’t evolved all that much through motherhood. It has stayed a moment of calmness for me."
"If I am tired or if I feel my son is a bit overstimulated, I draw a bath, it always grounds us. I know we both benefit from the peacefulness of it. I am not saying that my son is not splashing around, or it isn’t full of movement, discovering new sensations but the movement/time is just slower somehow."

"The idea that water cleanses you, metaphorically and figuratively speaking. I really feel that to be true.
The one on one time together, no distractions, just the two of us is what I cherish most bathing with my child."
